ATLANTA - The South Dakota State women's basketball team was recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as the organization announced its 2023-24 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls Wednesday. The Jackrabbits rank 17th in NCAA Division I with a 3.652 team GPA.
This is the 17th time SDSU has made the Top 25 list in the Division I era, all under the direction of head coach Aaron Johnston.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2023-24 season is the 29th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
