HARRIS, Mich. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is in 10th place following the first two rounds of the Island Resort Intercollegiate at Sage Run Golf Club.
The Jackrabbits were in third place following the first 18 holes with a +1 team score but had a tough second lap to drop into 10th place.
Ty Kretz paces the Jackrabbits at 3-over. He is in a tie for 24th place and three shots off the top 10. The senior fired a -1 on the first lap, then was 4-over for round two.
Bryson Mercier is two shots off Kretz in a tie for 36th after day one. He went +5 (-2, +7) on the day.
Tyler Seeling is in 51st place, followed by
Marco Lin in 58th and
Blake Schaper in 62nd.
Newcomers
Jake Olson (69th),
Drew Teeter (71st) and
Jack Randall (77th) are competing individually for the Jackrabbits.
Boise State and Purdue are tied at the top of the team leaderboard. Both are 10-under-par. The Broncos' Luke Cushman is 8-under lead the field.
