WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The South Dakota State men's golf team is in 13th place after 36 holes of the Boilermaker Invitational hosted by Purdue at Kampen-Cosler Golf Course. The Jacks tallied 24 birdies on the day and are +21 as a team after two rounds.
Ty Adkins and
Drew Teeter are pacing the Jacks with matching +5 two-round scorecards. They are tied for 38th place.
Jacob Wilson is in 50th place with a +7 tally after two rounds. He fired a 71 (-1) for his first lap, then was +8 on round two.
Bryson Mercier is three shots behind Wilson in 61st place at +10. He is leading the Jackrabbits in birdies, tallying seven on day one.
Tyler Seeling is in 67th (+13). He posted five birdies in the second round.
Purdue leads the field with a 19-shot lead at -18. Purdue's Supapon Amornchaichan is in first place on the individual leaderboard (-8) with 13 birdies.
At the Boilermaker Individual, taking place at the nearby Birck Boilermaker Golf Course,
Caleb Kern is competing individually. Kern was +5 for Monday's round and is tied for 17th place.
NOTES
- Ty Adkins tallied a par score on 28 holes, the most of all participating players.
- Jacob Wilson is tied for second on par-3 holes. He is averaging an even 3.00 strokes per par-3.
- SDSU is tied for third on par-3 holes, averaging 3.27 shots.
