SCHETNAN NAMED DEFENSIVE PEAK PERFORMER

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - South Dakota state middle blocker Sydni Schetnan was named Summit League Kwik Star Volleyball Defensive Peak Performer of the Week by the conference office Tuesday. This is the third defensive honor of Schetnan's career and her first of the season.Â

Schetnan led the league with 1.86 blocks per set and 13 total blocks across two matches for the Jackrabbits. The Sioux Falls native notched seven kills, a .500 hitting clip, and four blocks in a three-set victory over North Dakota State. The Jacks' redshirt senior then earned four kills along with nine blocks, while helping hold South Dakota to a .135 hitting clip to improve the Jackrabbits to 7-0 in conference play.
