BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State men's golf team has announced the addition Riley Christensen to the roster for the 2026-27 season.

Christensen will join the Jackrabbits following his career at Harrisburg High School.
"I have been recruiting and following Riley's development for over three years," said head coach
Parker Edens. "He is a wonderful young man and will represent the Jackrabbits with the utmost respect and integrity. Riley has had an impressive junior golf and high school career. We are proud to add another local South Dakota player to our roster. I couldn't be happier about him choosing to be a Jackrabbit next fall!"
Christensen was the 2022 Class AA individual state champion, where his future Jackrabbit teammates
Hayden Scott and
Jake Olson were also top finishers. He also helped Harrisburg win a South Dakota state team championship in both 2022 and 2025. Christensen was the Metro Conference individual champion in 2022 and 2025. He was named an All-Metro Conference honoree in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025. Christensen was also an All-ESD Conference selection in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Christensen made 4-out-of-5 cuts in the American Junior Golf Association in 2024 and was a State Junior Champion during his junior season in 2025.
Christensen is the son of Casey and Justin Christensen. His mom played college basketball at Iowa Lakes and Wisconsin Lutheran, while his dad played golf at Marquette University. Christensen plans to major in sociology.
