2018-19:
OUTDOOR: Opened the season with a strong showing at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (Mar 28-30) where she placed 15th and ran 4:34.41 for 1500, and clocked 2:15.13 in the 800…ran 4:36.29 in the 1500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 18)…was a member of the DMR Relay at the Drake Relays (April 27) which finished 8th in a time of 11:35.67, which is the second fastest time ever posted by a group of Jackrabbit women… Ellie finished the season at the Summit League Outdoor Championships by competing in the 800 (2:18.94, 11th) the 1500 (4:46.57, 9th), and the 5000 (18:59.38, 24th).
INDOOR: Debuted on the oval with an impressive Mile/800 double at the UND-SDSU Dual (Jan 12) where she established marks of 5:03.44 and 2:23.86, respectively…went on to run below the 5 minute barrier in the mile three times throughout the season, including a season best mark of 4:57.48 at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational (Jan 19) and a 6th place finish in the event at the Summit League Indoor Championship Meet (Feb 23) where she clocked a 4:58.8…also made impressive showings at other distances notching season best times of 2:15.13 for 800m and 10:14.07 for 3000 at the SDSU Indoor Classic (Feb 8-9)…and took a first place finish in the 1000 at the DII Invitational, crossing the line in a time of 2:57.51, positioning her 5th on the SDSU All-Time list in the event…
CROSS COUNTRY: Began her career as a Jackrabbit with a strong showing at the Bison Open Cross Country Meet (Aug 31) leading the way for the Jackrabbits with a second place finish and a time of 14:20.8 for 4k… Had consistently strong showings at the 6k distance…ran 22:20.7 at the Pre-Nationals Invitational (Oct 13)…was a scoring member on the third place team at the Summit League Championship Meet (Oct 27) where she ran 22:12.3 and placed 18th individually… and finished the season by placing 121st at the NCAA Midwest Division I Regional Cross Country Championships (Nov 9) where she ran 22:22.8 for the 6k distance, and once again was a scoring runner for the Jackrabbits, helping the team take home a 13th place finish as team.
2019-20:
OUTDOOR: Season canceled
INDOOR: Improved upon marks from freshman year... opened up the season by clocking 4:54.72 and 2:18.72 for the mile and 800 respectively at the Jim Emmerich Invitational (Jan 25), taking the win in both events… ran a collegiate best of 9:50.69 for 3000m, placed 5th, at the Frank Sevigne Invitational (Feb 8)… Continued trend with a lifetime best in the mile (4:54.06) at the Iowa State Classic (Feb 15)… also ran another collegiate best time in the 800, winning the event by running 2:13.72 at the SDSU Last Chance Meet (Feb 21st)… Closed out the season with a strong 3000/Mile double at the Summit League Indoor Conference Championship Meet (Feb28-29), scoring in both events (3k: 9:56.10, 6th place, Mile: 4:57.97, 2nd place)… Â
CROSS COUNTRY: Opened up her sophomore season with a ninth place finish, second for the Jackrabbits, at the NDSU Bison open running 14:31.9 for 4k… continued season at the SDSU XC Classic (Sep 13) where she covered 5k in 18:44.2 and placed 4th overall… held steady as a scoring runner at the Roy Griak Invitational (Sep 28) and the Pre-National Invitational (Oct 19)…ran a lifetime PR of 21:55.2 for 6k at the Summit League Cross Country Championship Meet (Nov 2) where she was once again the second runner to finish for the Jackrabbits, a key contributor to the team’s 3rd place finish… ended the season with a 69th place individual finish, 16th place finish in team scoring, at the NCAA Division I Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships (Nov 15) where she ran 22:10 and held steady as the 2nd runner for the Jacks.
