Ashley Bock joined the South Dakota State coaching staff in the fall of 2021.

Bock spent the previous year as head cross country coach and assistant track and field coach at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, while also serving as recruiting coordinator. The Chargers placed 13th in the men’s division at the 2021 NAIA Indoor Nationals.

As a student-athlete, Bock competed in the distance events at the University of Wyoming from 2015-20 and finished with a top-three time in the 6,000 meters for cross country and a top-six mark in the 10,000-meter run outdoors.

Bock has completed Level I coaching certification from USA Track and Field and is working toward additional certifications in endurance and strength training. She also is completing a master’s degree in sports management after earning bachelor of science degrees in environmental natural resources and environment system science at Wyoming.
