Megan Glover joined the Jackrabbit Athletics team as an Assistant Director of Communications in September 2021. She is the primary contact for volleyball, women’s basketball and golf.
While at South Dakota State, Glover has overseen the communications and media relations efforts for a number of events, including the Jackrabbits’ 2022 WNIT championship, the 2022 Summit League softball championships, SDSU volleyball’s historic 2024 season and three straight Summit League basketball tournament titles and subsequent NCAA Tournament appearances (2023, 2024, 2025).
Glover was honored with South Dakota State’s Rising Star award in 2024, which recognizes superior achievement by a professional staff member within the first three years of employment.
Prior to South Dakota State, Glover worked in multiple athletic communications roles at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, most recently as the Sports Information Director. As the director of the department, Glover oversaw all aspects of the sports information duties, including communication efforts and gameday operations for all 18 varsity sports. She began her career in athletic communications as a student intern during her senior year at Briar Cliff, then started as a graduate assistant in the communications office in the fall of 2018.
Glover has also worked as an official statistician for the NAIA women’s volleyball and women’s basketball national championship tournaments, which are held in Sioux City, and was the head statistician for both tournaments in 2020-21.
Glover holds a master’s degree in sports management (2020) and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications (2018), both from Briar Cliff. As an undergraduate, Glover was a three-year starter for the Charger soccer team before transitioning to a coaching role for her senior season and through her time as a communications GA.
