Bio
After seeing action mostly at middle hitter her first two seasons with the Jackrabbits, Mackenzie made the move to an outside hitting position in 2006
2006: Played in 23 games during 17 matches over the season ... recorded a career-high seven kills and a career-high seven digs in the Jacks 3-0 win at Texas Pan-American (10/07) ... followed up her UTPA performance with a four kill effort in a 3-0 win at home against Drake (10/17)
2005: Played off the bench in 11 matches, appearing in 17 games ... top performance of season was three-kill, one-block outing against Stephen F. Austin (Texas) at Cyclone Classic (9/2) ... played in three of four matches at Cyclone Classic, recording assists versus host Iowa State and Montana ... set career high with two block assists in two games of action at Northern Colorado (9/24) ... notched kill and block assist in match with Providence (R.I) at Division I Independent Championships (11/10)
2004: Appeared in eight matches during the 2004 season and tallied at least one block in five matches ... played two games in collegiate debut at Western New Mexico, recording one dig (9/9) ... registered a pair of blocks (one solo, one assist) in SDSU sweep of Texas Southern at Hilton Las Cruces Classic (9/10) ... posted first career kill in match at Frost Arena against Dakota Wesleyan (10/20) ... also was credited with a kill and block assist in home matches against Bethel (Minn.) (10/23) and North Dakota (11/5) ... notched solo block and block assist in home finale versus Upper Iowa (11/6)
BEFORE SDSU: Earned all-Lake Conference honors in 2003 at Eastview High School, after receiving honorable mention all-conference recognition the previous season ... hit .427 as a senior, while recording 127 kills and 58 blocks in 15 matches ... high school coaches were Jon Hegerle and Rebecca Egan ... also played for Eastview and M1 Volleyball club teams in Twin Cities area ... earned varsity letter in track and field ... member of the National Honor Society and recipient of Regional Scholastic Art Award
