All-state performer in cross country and track and field ... a key contributor to the success of the Gazelles power house cross country teams over the past four years, Mariah was the 2009 ESD Conference cross country champion and followed that up with a fourth place finish in Class AA State Meet ... during her freshman and sophomore campaigns, she also recorded top five finishes at the state cross country meet ... on the track, Hofer has helped the Gazelles in winning the last two 4 x 800 meter relays at the state track and field meet ... recorded personal bests of 5 minutes, 8.1 seconds in the 1600 meters and 11:17.6 in the 3200 meters ... last spring, she finished third in the 1600 meters and fourth in the 3200 meters ... Hofer is an outstanding student, is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in Nursing
