The South Dakota State volleyball returns to action this weekend at the Green Bay Country Inn & Suites Classic hosted by UW-Green Bay, with matches against Iowa, Central Michigan and the host Phoenix on the schedule.

CLICK HERE to watch the Jackrabbits liveThe Jackrabbits open play on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against Iowa, and then play two matches on Saturday, starting with WU-Green Bay at 1:30 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend against Central Michigan at 4:30 p.m.
The Jacks opened the season last weekend with a win in three matches at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Laramie, Wy. SDSU won the first set of the year against Idaho State, but the Bengals won the next three to take the match 3-1.
The Jacks then picked up one set win against the host Cowgirls, but lost that match 3-1 as well.
The lone win of the weekend came in the final match against Rutgers, when the Jacks hung on to beat the Scarlet Knights in five sets.
Sophomore Kelli Fiegen led the Jackrabbits in the first weekend of the season, racking up 50 kills, including a career-high 19 against Wyoming and then 18 more in the win over Rutgers. Fiegen hit .330 for the weekend and added three solo blocks and 13 block assists, all of which earned her a place on the all-tournament team.
Following this weekend, the Jacks open their home schedule, and Summit League Play, on Friday when they welcome Centenary to Frost Arena at 7 p.m. Oral Roberts comes in on Saturday for a 4:30 p.m. start.
RABBITS ON THE RADIO – All Jackrabbit volleyball home matches can be heard on KJJQ 910 A.M. The pre-game show starts approximately 20 minutes before first serve.

Replays of Jackrabbit home volleyball matches can be seen Monday-Thursday on the Mediacom Connections Channel in South Dakota and Minnesota. Check your local listings for times.
THIS WEEK'S COMPETITION
Iowa Hawkeyes (3-0, 0-0 Big Ten) – Iowa enters the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record after capturing the title at the Loyola Invitational last weekend in Chicago.
The Hawkeyes defeated Loyola, Marquette and Eastern Kentucky, dropping just one set to Marquette in the three matches.
The Series vs. Iowa – The Hawkeyes won the first and only meeting with the Jackrabbits 2-0 in October 1978 at the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
UW-Green Bay Phoenix (0-3, 0-0 Horizon) – Green Bay enters its weekend tournament with a 3-0 record after dropping all three games at the Fresno State Tournament last weekend in Fresno, Calif.
The Phoenix lost in four sets to Pacific, in three sets to the host Bulldogs and in five sets to Cal State Bakersfield.
The Series vs. UW-Green Bay – The Jackrabbits won the first and only meeting 3-0 on Sept. 9, 2005 at the NDSU Classic in Fargo, N.D.
Central Michigan Chippewas (1-2, 0-0 Mid-American) – Central Michigan opened the season with a pair of 3-0 losses to North Dakota State and Florida State before rebounding to beat Florida A&M in it's final match at the Florida State Invitational last weekend in Tallahassee, Fla.
