The South Dakota State volleyball team hosts a pair of matches this week, one in the friendly confines of Frost Arena and the other at the Sanford Pentagon. The Jackrabbits play Oral Roberts Friday at 7 p.m. in Frost and Fort Wayne Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Sanford Pentagon for the "Dig Pink" match.
           SDSU (3-19, 2-8) is tied for seventh in The Summit League standings after losing a pair of matches last week. It lost 3-0 to Denver and at IUPUI. Senior
Ashley Beaner led the Jacks' attack with 14 and 13 kills, respectively.
           Oral Roberts (12-12, 4-6) lost both its home matches this past weekend, falling 3-0 to South Dakota and 3-1 to North Dakota State. The Golden Eagles are sixth in The Summit League standings.    Â
           Fort Wayne (11-12, 7-3) is tied for third in the league standings. The Mastodons won their last two of their last three matches, defeating Western Illinois (3-0) and Omaha (3-1) and losing to Valparaiso Tuesday in a nonleague match.

Dig Pink Match
- It will be a rematch between South Dakota State and Fort Wayne when The Summit League volleyball opponents meet Sunday at the Sanford Pentagon for the "Dig Pink" match. The match aims to raise awareness of breast cancer.
- The Jackrabbits defeated the Mastodons in three sets last year with the match marking the first time Division I volleyball has been played in the Sanford Pentagon.
- This year, fundraising for the Dig Pink match is now online at http://bit.ly/2ej6msk.
- Sunday, South Dakota State will wear special pink Under Armour jerseys which will be auctioned to benefit the Edith Sanford Breast Center, an initiative of Sanford Health focused on breast cancer research and care. Fans in attendance will also receive a free pink rally towel.
- Last year, the "Dig Pink" match and auction raised a combined $4,800 for the Edith Sanford Breast Center.
- Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youth, and are available at the Pentagon the day of the match.

Setting the Scene
- South Dakota State is 41-38 at home in Summit League matches since 2007. Its last home league win was a 3-0 sweep of Omaha Sept. 30.
- The Jacks are 1-6 overall and 1-4 in league games in Frost Arena this season.
- South Dakota State gets its second shot at Oral Roberts after losing 3-0 in Tulsa. The Jacks also play Fort Wayne for a second time after falling 3-1 in Indiana.
- SDSU and Oral Roberts meet for the 16th time with the Golden Eagles leading the all-time series, 11-4. The Jacks' last win over Oral Roberts was Nov. 11, 2010, when they won in five sets. SDSU has a four-match losing streak vs. ORU.
- SDSU and Fort Wayne meet for the 26th time with the Mastodons leading the all-time series, 20-5. Last year, the Jackrabbits snapped a five-match losing streak with a three-set win Nov. 1, 2015, in the first Division I volleyball match held at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.

- Second-year head coach Nicole Cirillo's probable starters are seniors Nazya Thies (1.96 kps, 2.11 dps) and Ashley Beaner (3.47 kps, 2.01 dps) and freshman Makenzie Hennen (2.36 kps) on the outside; sophomore Sierra Peterson (0.65 bps) and freshman Ashlynn Smith in the middle (.199, 0.56 bps); sophomore Mattison Munger (8.72 aps) setting and junior Ellie Benson (4.49 dps) as libero.
- The Jackrabbits are hitting .127 and average 10.79 kills, 14.57 digs and 1.33 blocks per set.
- In the 22 matches, Beaner has recorded 10-or-more kills 16 times and Benson has 10-or-more digs in 19 matches.

- Oral Roberts enters the weekend looking to snap a two-match losing streak.
- The Golden Eagles are hitting .216 as a team with their offensive attack coming from junior Laura Milos. The outside hitter leads the squad, The Summit League and the NCAA in kills per set (5.63) and averages 2.32 digs per set.
- Junior middle hitter Shelby Cox leads Oral Roberts with a .317 hitting percentage.
- Junior setter Lucija Bojanjac runs the Golden Eagles' offense, averaging 9.66 set assists.
- Milos tops the squad and the league with 55 service aces, but has a team-high 56 service errors.
- Two Oral Roberts players have 40-or-more total blocks, led by Cox's 57.
- Sophomore libero Tori Roe is recording a team-best 3.46 digs per set and Oral Roberts averages 12.94 digs per set with three players with 2.0-or-more digs per set.
- Series vs. ORU—Oral Roberts leads 11-4.

Fort Wayne (11-13, 7-3)
- Fort Wayne enters Sunday's match having won its last two Summit League matches.
- The Mastodons are hitting .234 as a team with their offensive attack coming from sophomore Nicole Rightnowar. The outside hitter leads the squad in kills per set (3.51) and averages 2.56 digs per set.
- Junior middle hitter Natalie Seiler is hitting a team-high .357 and averages 2.13 kills per set while blocking a squad-leading 0.96 attacks a match.
- Sophomore setter Madison Jaqua is running the offense, registering 9.61 set assists per outing.
- On defense, IPFW has four players averaging 2.0-or-more digs per set, led by senior libero Olivia Hahn's 4.87 dps.
- Three Mastodons have 30-or-more total blocks, led by Seiler's 17 solo blocks and 74 block assists.
- Series vs. IPFW—Fort Wayne leads 20-5.
