The South Dakota State women's basketball team has a short turnaround before meeting George Washington Sunday at 1 p.m. in the friendly confines of Frost Arena.

SDSU had its three-game win streak and nine-game home win streak snapped Friday with a 67-43 loss to Green Bay.
Madison Guebert led the Jacks with 10 points and
Clarissa Ober added 9 rebounds. State drops to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in Frost Arena.

George Washington had its four-game winning steak snapped Wednesday with a 66-61 overtime loss at American. The loss drops the Colonials to 7-3 overall and 1-2 on the road.

Sunday's game is the second meeting between the Jackrabbits and Colonials. GW leads the series 1-0.

- The Jackrabbits received 5 votes in the AP preseason poll and 28 in the preseason Coaches poll.
- The last time the Jacks were ranked in either preseason poll was Nov. 9, 2009.
- The Jackrabbits' votes are the first since the Jackrabbits received votes in the Jan. 11, 2016, AP poll and April 6, 2016, Coaches polls.

- Washington averages a team-leading 7.8 rebounds. GW is outrebounding opponents by 9.9 caroms a game.
- Schaible and sophomore guard Mei-Lyn Bautista are dishing 3.2 and 3.0 assists per game, respectively.
- Senior guard Shannon Crenshaw (14-34, .412), junior guard Camila Tapias (11-31, .355) and Bautista (10-34, .294) are the Colonials 3-point threats.

- Sunday's game marks the second meeting between South Dakota State and George Washington.
- The Colonials lead in the series, 1-0, after defeating the Jackrabbits, 65-60, in the GW Thanksgiving Classic in Washington, D.C., Nov. 23, 2007.
- SDSU and GW almost met in 2014-15 when the Jacks and the Colonials played at Oregon State in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. State lost to the Beavers and GW lost to Gonzaga.
