The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving team dropped a 169-131 decision to Northern Iowa Friday afternoon at the Stanley J. Marshall Center Pool.
"Today gave us an opportunity to learn what we need to prepare ourselves for the rest of the season," head coach
Doug Humphrey said. "We had a lot of missed opportunities today, but still were able to put a good meet together. We now focus our attention on resting and preparing for an excellent conference championship."
Divers Dominate Meet
- Senior Emily Moore won the 3-meter with a score of 279.30 and placed second on the 1-meter (231.67).
- Freshman Quincee Simonson won the 1-meter for the first time in her career with a score of 236.33. She finished fourth on the 3-meter with a 225.68.
- Newcomer Courtney Trapp took sixth on both boards with scores of 169.06 and 186.07.

Jacks Continue to Shine
- Once again, freshman Rori Conners won the 1000 free with a time of 10:31.63.
- In the 100 back, Cassie Hendricks, Annika Skogg and Katya Vakshteyn took second, third and fourth with times of 1:00.22, 1:00.53 and 1:02.85, respectively.
- Senior Kristin Erf won the 100 and 200 breast stroke with times of 1:04.68 and 2:23.59, respectively.
- Freshmen Kristen Davis and Liezl Ocon finished first and second in the 200 fly. The duo placed second and third in the 200 fly.
- The Jacks finished second in both the 200 medley relay (1:51.20) and the 400 free relay (3:38.04).
