Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles) SDSU: 2014-17
Weekly Notes:Â Goedert played 48 offensive snaps (59 percent) and 13 special teams plays in last Sunday's 32-30 win over the Houston Texans. He caught all three of his targets for 30 yards, including a long of 24 yards, on Sunday afternoon.
Â
His first catch came in the second quarter with just under six minutes. The Eagles were on Houston's eight-yard line, down 9-7, on fourth down. Backup QB Nick Foles dumped a short pass right to Goedert who rumbled to the two-yard line and picked up first down. Eventually Philly scored on a short pass to go up 13-9 with 3:11 left to play in the half.
Â
On the first play of the second half, a fellow Eagle fumbled a pass but Goedert was able to recover it and prevent the Texans from good field position on the Eagles' own 34-yard line.
Â
His 24-yard long - his last catch of the game - was in the fourth quarter with 6:17 left to play. Foles dumped another pass short left to Goedert who made his way up to Houston's 49-yard line for a first down.
Â
Up Next:Â At Washington Redskins (Sunday, Dec. 30 at noon CT)
Â
Season Notes:Â Caught his first TD of his NFL career against the Indianapolis Colts (Sept. 23) on a 13-yard throw behind the linebackers - Goedert ran up the right seam and settled behind the secondary ... also added his most yards (73), catches (7), and targets (7) in the game vs. the Colts ... career-long is vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars (Oct. 28) - a 32-yard grab on a play-action route that wheeled Goedert up the backside of the play en route to juke a defender and rumble into the end zone (third TD of the season, back-to-back games with a TD reception) ... nearly grabbed his first career pass as a touchdown in the first game of the NFL regular season (vs. Falcons, Sept. 6) - 19-yard pass attempt down the right sideline where Goedert caught it but was only able to get one foot in the end zone ... recorded his first career catch in the third quarter, a four-yard grab against the Falcons (Sept. 6) ... added his second TD of the season vs. the Carolina Panthers (Oct. 21) on a one-yard flag route that he cut short because the defender over-ran the route - nearly scored a few plays earlier on what would have been a 12 yard TD in the middle of the end zone but the ball was knocked out of his hands in tight coverage ... has played 400 offensive snaps (156 special teams) and has had 39 targets for 30 catches and 297 yards and four touchdowns through 15 games ... 2018 Preseason: scored his first touchdown in his debut preseason game, a 31-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers (Aug. 9) ... his most catches (four) and receiving yards (66) came in his preseason debut against the Steelers while his longest catch (28) came against the New England Patriots (Aug. 16) ... has gathered nine catches for 149 yards and one touchdown through three preseason games (132 offensive plays).
Adam Vinatieri (Indianapolis Colts) SDSU: 1991-94
Weekly Notes:Â Vinatieri scored four points by going four-for-four on point-after attempts in the 28-27 win over the New York Giants last Sunday.
Â
His PAT with 55 seconds left in the game gave the Colts their first lead of the game after trailing by 14 in the first quarter.
Â
Sunday's game marked his 352nd regular season game played, which tied Jeff Feagles for the third-most regular season games played in NFL history. The game is also the 193rd game for Vinatieri as a Colt which ties him with Robert Mathis and Justin Snow for the seventh-most games played in team history.
