N. SIOUX CITY ?— South Dakota State picked up a pair of first-place finishes at the Briar Cliff Invitational at Adams Nature Preserve in N. Sioux City, S.D. Saturday morning.

The men rolled past their competition, scoring 23 points with the next closest opponent (Dakota State) coming in with 73 points. On the women's side, the Jackrabbits picked up 77 points while Friends University followed close behind with 81.

2017 Summit League Champion Chase Cayo returned to the Jacks lineup for his first race of the season Saturday morning, turning in a third-overall finish with a time of 25:30.95.
