The South Dakota State men's golf team is set to open the 2022-23 season Sunday and Monday at the Island Resort Intercollegiate hosted by the Jackrabbits in Harris, Michigan.

All 10 rostered Jackrabbits made the trip to Michigan. Matthew Schaefer, Blake Schaper, Bryson Mercier, Luke Honner and Jonah Dohrer make up the official SDSU squad while Ty Kretz, Lucas Schaefbauer, Tyler Seeling, Noah Boraas and Tucker D'Allaird will play as individuals.

The Jacks finished sixth at this tournament a season ago. Schaefer carded two rounds below par and collected 10 birdies on his way to finishing in fifth place. Dohrer, a second-team all-Summit pick last season, finished in a tie for 17th at last year's event.

The teams will play two rounds Sunday and the final round Monday.
