Oakland hit an astounding .354 and held South Dakota State to a .168 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of the Jackrabbits on Saturday afternoon at Frost Arena.
Oakland, who won by the set scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-15, improve to 14-5 overall and 7-4 in the Summit League. The Jacks fall to 6-13 overall and 5-6 in league play.
Ellyce Youngren led the Jacks with 11 kills in the loss Ashley Kathol added seven and led the team with a pair of block assists.
Adrienne Leone led the Golden Grizzlies with 12 kills, Brittany Holbrook finished with nine, while Jenna Lange and Meghan Bray both added eight kills in the win.
The Jackrabbits return to action next week with matches at IUPUI on Friday and at Western Illinois on Saturday. SDSU beat both the Jaguars and Fighting Leathernecks in the first meetings of the season at Frost Arena.
