BROOKINGS, S.D.—After setting a school record, almost upsetting a ranked team and going 2-1 in the Caribbean, the South Dakota State women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of Frost Arena to begin a three-game homestand. First up, Portland State Thursday at 7 p.m.
- SDSU, 4-2, defeated Pittsburgh, 55-54, lost to then-No. 6 Maryland, 62-55, and dominated Old Dominion, 71-39, in the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
- Junior Kerri Young and sophomore Macy Miller were named to the Paradise Jam All-Tournament team after averaging 15.3 and 15 points, respectively.
- Portland State, 0-5, looks to snap a five-game losing streak after falling 82-70 to UC Davis Nov. 27.
- It will be the first meeting between the Jacks and the Vikings.

- SDSU is 2-1 at home this season with its only loss coming at the hands of No. 3 Notre Dame Nov. 21.
