Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles) SDSU: 2014-17
Weekly Notes: Goedert played 43 offensive snaps (61 percent) and eight special teams plays in the 24-0 playoff-clinching win over the Washington Redskins in the last game of the regular season. The rookie tight end caught all three of his targets for 27 yards, including a long of 25 yards.

After the defense intercepted a deep pass on the very first play of the game, the Eagle offense moved into scoring range before throwing an interception right back. Goedert helped the team get into Redskin territory with his 25-yard catch - pushing the Philly offense to Washington's 28-yardline before going out-of-bounds. It was the longest play from scrimmage - for both teams - in the game.

Goedert ended his rookie season by playing in all 16 games (523 offensive snaps, 187 special teams), starting in eight of them, with 33 catches from 44 targets for 334 yards and four touchdowns. He had a long of 32 yards and helped pick up 13 first downs.

Season Notes: Ended his rookie season with 16 games played (eight starts, playing 523 offensive snaps, 187 special teams) and 33 catches on 44 targets for 334 yards and four touchdowns, 13 first downs, with a long of 32 yards ... caught his first TD of his NFL career against the Indianapolis Colts (Sept. 23) on a 13-yard throw behind the linebackers - Goedert ran up the right seam and settled behind the secondary ... also added his most yards (73), catches (7), and targets (7) in the game vs. the Colts ... career-long is vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars (Oct. 28) - a 32-yard grab on a play-action route that wheeled Goedert up the backside of the play en route to juke a defender and rumble into the end zone (third TD of the season, back-to-back games with a TD reception) ... nearly grabbed his first career pass as a touchdown in the first game of the NFL regular season (vs. Falcons, Sept. 6) - 19-yard pass attempt down the right sideline where Goedert caught it but was only able to get one foot in the end zone ... recorded his first career catch in the third quarter, a four-yard grab against the Falcons (Sept. 6) ... added his second TD of the season vs. the Carolina Panthers (Oct. 21) on a one-yard flag route that he cut short because the defender over-ran the route - nearly scored a few plays earlier on what would have been a 12 yard TD in the middle of the end zone but the ball was knocked out of his hands in tight coverage ... 2018 Preseason: scored his first touchdown in his debut preseason game, a 31-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers (Aug. 9) ... his most catches (four) and receiving yards (66) came in his preseason debut against the Steelers while his longest catch (28) came against the New England Patriots (Aug. 16) ... has gathered nine catches for 149 yards and one touchdown through three preseason games played (two starts, 132 offensive plays).

Adam Vinatieri (Indianapolis Colts) SDSU: 1991-94
Weekly Notes: Vinatieri scored nine points by going two-for-two on field goal tries and three-for-four on point-after attempts in the playoff-clinching win over the Tennessee Titans, 33-17. The Colts got up to an early 14-7 lead before Vinatieri added his 53-yard boot with 39 seconds in the half.

The 46-year-old kicker knocked in another one from 25 yards out in the second half to make it 27-17 with just under four minutes in the game.

With his 53-yard field goal, he passed Phil Dawson and John Kasey (42) for the fourth-most made field goals from 50 or more yards in NFL history.

The game marked his 353rd regular season game which passes Jeff Feagles, who was third all-time (352) and ties with Gary Anderson (353) for second-most all-time regular season games played in NFL history. The game was also his 193rd as a Colt, which allowed him to pass Robert Mathis and Justin Snow for the seventh-most games played in team history.

The Jackrabbit alum moved into sole possession of the second-most extra-points made in the NFL after his first PAT with 6:39 left in the first quarter. He was tied with Morten Andersen (849) prior to the game.

Vinatieri also became the fourth player ever to play in a NFL game at the age of 46 years or older joining George Blanda (48), Morten Andersen (47) and John Carney (46).

He finished the season by capturing big three NFL records and scoring 113 points by going 23-27 on field goals (a long of 54 - twice) and 44-47 on point-after attempts.

Bryan Witzmann (Chicago Bears) SDSU: 2010-13
Weekly Notes: Witzmann played 41 offensive snaps (60 percent) and three special teams plays in the Bears' 12th win of the season (most in a season since 2006) over the Minnesota Vikings on the final weekend of the regular season, winning 24-10.

The Chicago offense total 332 offensive yards (163 passing, 169 rushing, 5.3 per play) while having three 70-yard-plus touchdown drives.

The SDSU alum is 8-1 when playing significant snaps with the Bears, 6-1 as a starter (lone loss is an overtime loss to the NY Giants in Wk. 13). The offense averaged 25.2 points per game and 313.6 yards per game with Witzmann playing (205.3 passing, 108.3 rushing).

With the Bears clinching the NFC North in week 15 and a spot in the playoffs, Witzmann has been to the playoffs all three years he's played a snap in the NFL (2016 Divisional Rd. - Kansas City Chiefs, 2017 Wild Card Rd. - Kansas City Chiefs, 2018 Playoffs - Clinched NFC North).

Zach Zenner (Detriot Lions) SDSU: 2011-14
Weekly Notes: Zenner and the Detroit Lions handed the Green Bay Packers their worst home shutout loss since 2006, winning 31-0. Zenner led the team in carries (21), yards (93) and scored the only rushing touchdown of the game.

He played 51 percent of the offensive snaps (37) - the most of any running back - and another nine special teams plays. The SDSU RB had a long of 13 yards on the ground and added a 30-yard catch from two targets.

Zenner saw his first carries with about eight minutes to play in the first quarter. He had a one-yard carry off the left end and a five-yard carry up the middle to push the Lions to midfield. He had two more carries for six yards and no gain on Green Bay's seven- and one-yard line. The drive resulted in the first points of the game - a five-yard TD pass to go up 7-0.

On the following Detroit possession, the running back added three more carries for six yards - one carry inside of Green Bay's 15 for five yards - which eventually added another touchdown pass on the board.

On the third straight scoring drive for the Lions, Zenner packed on 42 yards and finally punched into the endzone to go up 21-0 with 1:11 to go in the half. He had eight carries - one passing target - with one of them being nullified after a three-yard touchdown rush was pushed back because of holding. The following play was his 13-yard touchdown.

The fourth-year running back ended with his second-best season in the NFL with eight games played (one start) with 55 carries for 265 yards and three touchdowns (4.8 yards per carry, long of 29). He also had 10 targets, seven catches, for 56 yards (8.0 per catch, long of 30). In the last four games of the season where Zenner had the most action, the team went 2-2 while he had 51 carries for 237 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and three touchdowns with six catches for 52 yards.
