BROOKINGS— The South Dakota State women's swim and dive team took first in every event to pass Nebraska-Omaha, 231-65, Saturday in the Stanley J. Marshall Center pool.
Four Jackrabbits were named double-winners individually.
Emma Walz took first in the 200 back with a 2:08.59 and the 100 back in 58.90.
Kristen Davis took home double wins in both butterfly events, clocking a 59.44 in the 100 and 2:11.08 in the 200.
Emily Pincus also had double wins, this time in the 200 free (1:58.54) and the 500 free with a 5:18.74 clocking and
Elisabeth Timmer took the top spot in the 100 free with a 52.96 and a 24.47 in the 50 free.
SDSU 'A' started things off with a win in the 200 medley relay when
Emma Walz, Sam Frigard,
Kristen Davis and
Elisabeth Timmer touched first with a 1:42.96 clocking. SDSU 'B' followed in second (Kocon, Eckstein, Ocon, Drezen) with a 1:51.09.
Zoey Ahrens took home gold in the 1,000 free with a 10:58.40 marking while
Maria Currie (11:14.17) and
Natalie Cannell (11:26.78) followed for second and third.
Sianne Downes followed Walz with a 59.39 in the 100 back. Sam Frigard won the 100 breast with a 1:07.55 and
Alyssa Eckstein took second with a 1:08.21.
Liezl Ocon followed Davis in the 200 fly for second place with a 2:17.45 and
Tiffany Nguyen followed up with a 2:19.08 for third.
Emma Bachelder followed Timmer in the 50 free with a 25.93 for second and Drezen finished third in 26.02. In the 100, Bachelder swam a 56.19 for second place. Eckstein won the 200 breast in a time of 2:25.00 and Frigard finished third with a 2:30.49.
Zoey Ahrens took second behind Pincus in the 500 free with a 5:22.91, and
Rori Conners (5:26.36) followed in third. For the second time of the day, Ocon followed Davis and took second in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.04. Kesley Kocon won the 100 IM in 1:01.95 and the Jacks (Walz, Timmer, Pincus, Bachelder) took the top spot in a time of 3:38.65.
On the 3-meter board,
Julia Gill lead the Jacks with 219.83 points,
Abbi Rouse took second with 210.08 and
Aleni Stoakes finished third with 201.90. On the 1-meter board,
Aleni Stoakes finished first with 242.25 points,
Abbi Rouse took second with 218.92 and
Julia Gill finished in third with 216.16 points.
