BROOKINGS, S.D. —Sophomore Mikala Hora (Yankton) led the South Dakota State University volleyball team with 15 kills but the Jackrabbits suffered a 19-25, 26-24, 23-25, 25-20, 15-10 loss to Oral Roberts in The Summit League action Saturday night at Frost Arena.
"I'd be happier if we won them, but with our fight and competitive nature we are fine. We are in a good spot. We are showing opponents a new SDSU volleyball team compared to past years," first-year head coach Nicole Cirillo said.
With 291 fans in attendance, Hora and the Jackrabbits (1-17, 0-2) used a 9-0 run to record the first set win. A Hora kill started the run and gave SDSU an 11-8 lead.
